11th Annual Meeting EPIZONE took place 19-21 September 2017.

Venue: Cité des sciences et de l’industrie, Paris.

We are very happy to invite you to participate in the 11th Annual Meeting of EPIZONE with scientists and stakeholders interested in the activities of the European Research Group for Epizootic Disease Diagnosis and Control.

The meeting is entitled: “Crossing barriers”.

“Crossing barriers” not only in the meaning of barriers as “species barriers” and crossing barriers between scientific disciplines, but also in the geographical and political meaning.

We are sure that our 11th annual meeting will be as successful as all previous EPIZONE meetings and will again provide excellent opportunities for networking and scientific exchange between all partners within the research group and with external partners.

The well-known EPIZONE themes including diagnosis, intervention strategies, risk assessment, and surveillance and epidemiology of epizootic diseases will again be the backbone of the scientific programme.

A stimulating scientific program will be provided by invited speakers and selected poster and oral presentations, describing recent research on epizootic diseases of cattle, pigs, poultry, sheep, goats, fish and horses.

The Young EPIZONE core group will organise, also this year, an interesting program for young scientists in the field of epizootic diseases.

The meeting is hosted by ANSES, and the Organizing and Scientific Committees look forward to welcoming you in Paris. The 'City of Light', is one of the most fascinating and romantic cities in Europe. The venue of the 11th Annual Meeting, Cité des sciences, in the heart of the largest landscaped park in Paris, is an original and spectacular place. You just have to step foot inside to explore the countless secrets of science.
