The ESVV/EPIZONE meeting in Portoroz started with a very successful meeting for young scientists (both EPIZONE and non-EPIZONE members). The meeting was organized by Elena Coatu and Adriana Munoz from IRTA.Matthijn de Boer (coordinator EPIZONE) presented short about EPIZONE. Then, there was a contest in which the participants could present themselves in a 4 minute pitch.The winner was Xuanxuan Zhang from the University of Bern.

Tonight, there will be a social event for young researchers.
