Exciting news!

There will be a young scientist* meeting during the ESVV/EPIZONE meeting in September. We found two very enthusiastic people who are organizing this: Elena Coatu and Adriana Muñoz, both working at IRTA-CReSA in Spain. The meeting will be open for Young EPIZONE members, but also for non-EPIZONE young scientists, participating in the ESVV meeting.

Here is the announcement of Elena and Adriana:

Dear Young EPIZONE members and other interested young researchers,

We are glad to invite you to the Young Scientist Meeting held on the morning of 2nd of September 2025. This event has the purpose of meeting other young researchers, as well as get in touch with each other's projects and studies. Therefore, we would like to propose a "4-minute research pitch" contest in which the winners would benefit from a symbolic monetary prize.

Additionally, we would also like to propose a Young Scientist Social Meeting held on the evening of 3rd of September 2025.

If you would like to attend these events and/or participate in the contest, please, fill in the form attached below.

Best wishes,

Young Researchers Meeting Organizers

Exact times and locations of the meetings will be announced later.

These meetings will be sponsored by EPIZONE, so no costs will be charged to the participants.

*Who is a young scientist? The definition for visiting the young scientist meeting is not very strict (in general: everybody who feels young, and works in science), but it is mainly aimed at: PhD students, postdocs or other within 5 years after getting the PhD degree, beginning career scientists in the first 5 years of his/her career.
