Young EPIZONE now has an official coordinator. Killian de Geest was selected out of 6 applications by the members of the coordinating forum of EPIZONE. The role of the coordinator is to help Young EPIZONE growing and plan more activities.

I'm Killian, a PhD student at Sciensano and Ghent University, where I specialize in bioinformatics with a focus on avian influenza, but I have an interest in all kinds of virology and epidemiology. I'm thrilled to take on the role of the new Young EPIZONE coordinator and am eager to work with all of you to shape this position together.
In this role, I aim to foster collaboration and networking among young scientists, ensuring that everyone feels included and welcome at our events. While I expect hurdles along the way, I don’t mind a challenge.
